We received a lovely prize from Farnham Quilters earlier this week for the Advent Raffle. They made a colourful 9 square quilt that is ideal as a throw or a picnic blanket. Ann and Deborah went along one evening to receive the prize. The design on the front of the quilt is a 9 square disappearing patch design where all members of the club contributed a small section. The reverse has been stitch decorated to create the quilting effect. In addition, one member has created a storage bag for the quilt which is a lovely idea. The quilts displayed in the background are entrants from the members in this year’s competition that was being judged that night. This is the first time we have had such a creative and community made prize.
